Little Sluggers: A six-week instructional program for children ages 3 & 4. Registration is required and runs from mid - June to late July.
T-Ball: Youth 5 & 6 years of age. Learn the fundamentals of the game. Hit mainly off a T with some pitching. No tryouts! Click on T-Ball Link for registration form.

Minor League Baseball: A fundamental, skill-learning program for youths ages 7 & 8. A coach pitch league. No tryouts are held for this park-sponsored activity. Click on Minor League Link for registration form.
Van Wert Youth Baseball Association: Active May through July. Leagues are broken down into three divisions; Junior League, 9 & 10 years old , Little League, ages 10 - 12 year olds and Pony League, ages 13 - 15 . Information on the Van Wert Youth Baseball can be found at their website www.vwyb.com
The Van Wert Fast Pitch Softball Association offers girls ages 9 - high school the opportunity to develop their skills in fast pitch softball. The association sponsors teams in each of the three age groups:

VWHS GIRLS SOFTBALL CLINIC
Objective of the clinic is to enhance the players skills and knowledge of throwing, fielding and hitting
Summer Softball Coaches are encouraged to attend in order to further their understanding of teaching these skills so they can advance the development of the player.
VAN WERT YOUTH TEAM TENNIS
The Van Wert Youth Team Tennis program is for girls and boys entering grades 1st-6th. Whether or not your child has ever held a racquet, there's a spot on the team for them.
Every player will receive; Team Uniform, foam ball, age appropriate tennis racquet, 1 year USTA Junior Membership, subscription to Bounce or SMASH Magazine, Ace's Kids Club Package including an activity book, birthday card, crazy bands, sun visor, seat band and more!
Entering Grades 1-3: 5:30-6:30pm Entering Grades 4-6: 6:30-7:30pm
BECOME A VOLUNTEER
Parental participation is necessary to the success of the program. The Midwest Team Tennis program will provide training to those parents selected as volunteer coaches.

Upward Soccer: The Parks Department is partnering with Trinity United Methodist to bring you Upward Soccer. Forms available at the Church, 220 S. Walnut St. or the Jubilee Park Office. Teams will be placed in their appropriate age category with teams formed for Pre-K through 12th Grade Boys/Girls. All participants must attend an evaluation to be placed on a team.

Never Golfed before? Would you like to learn? The Van Wert Parks Dept along with the Hickory Sticks Golf Course will be offering a one day Golf Clinic this summer. Learn from the Hickory Sticks Golf Pro the basics of the game; hitting, driving and putting. If you are just a beginner this is a great opportunity to fine tune your skills. Ages for youth are 7-14 .

The NFL Flag Football program is for youth ages 5-10. The Van Wert Parks and Recreation Department will be offering three age groups this fall; 5-6, 7-8 and 9-10. The 5-6 and 9-10 will play Tuesday evenings and the 7-8 will play Thursday evenings. All games will be played at Smiley Park. This program provides young players a fun and exciting opportunity to engage in non-contact continuous action while learning lessons in team work.
Registration begins July 11th. Must be registered by Aug 5th. Games will begin the week of September 5th .
Fee $35 (Each participant will receive a reversible NFL Flag Football Jersey, flag belt and special award at the end of the season.)
