Retired and disabled residents must also file for the tax year. "Retired" or "Disabled" can be written in the wage box (line 1) of such forms. Additional Exceptions are listed in "Tax Return Instructions".
Schedule "X" defines a number of common questions on taxable income.
Filing of a Return or Extension Request is due April 15th. Extensions will be charged 2% interest per month on tax which is due at filing of the return.
Municipal Tax Forms are available through links on this page, along with generic forms through various tax preparers and computer programs.
Failure to file a tax return and appropriate income statements (W-2's, 1099's, Federal Schedules, etc.) will result in penalty and interest as well as prosecution for a misdemeanor offense.
