Local government has played a key role in our Vision
Industrial Park. Phase I provided complete curbside utilities to industrial sites,
including a sufficient storm sewer system to drain large parking lots. Five
industries have nearly filled Phase I acreage. Recently completed Phase II construction
has opened up more curb side ready acreage with two industries having already taken
advantage of a portion of these many new sites.
Our local legislators, employees, and elected
officials are involved with our community, which is blessed with numerous advantages and
annual activities. Citizens have generously contributed to institutions such as our
YMCA, YWCA, art center, civic theater, county museum, and beautiful county library.
Civic organizations have added significantly to our
municipal park system. Recent improvements include expanding park acreage, providing
pavilions, restrooms, walking track and extensive exercise equipment.
Community support is reflected in the quality of police, fire, and
paramedic services, as well as street rebuilding, and the many non-emergency services
provided by our municipal government.
