Production Drive in Vision Industrial Park was the funded from a number of
sources. Costs to develop the roadway were paid from a "2000 Work Development
629 Grant" from the Ohio Department of Development. Funding for the
sanitary sewer was from a "Community Development Block Grant". Water
lines and storm sewers were paid for by city funds and installed by city employees.
The following projects were constructed in 1999:
Webster Street was rebuilt from
Washington Street to Glenn Street.
Woodland Avenue was rebuilt from Lynn
Street to Fulton Street.
Cable Street bridge was constructed.
Keplar Street bridge was contracted.
South Washington Street was rebuilt from
the Town Creek Bridge to Ervin Road. This project included
water main replacement, drainage tile, an extensive stone base, and a thicker asphalt
surface. State funding covered a sizable portion of the expense.
